All Day extreme volcano hike + Hot Springs

Ready to take on the Two Volcano Extreme Hike? This is an extreme hike up, over, and down the dormant volcano Cerro Chato... This will be an unforgettable experience full of nature, beauty, and definitely a good workout! The dormant volcano, with a beautiful lake occupying the crater, is surrounded by dense forest. From the base of the volcano, the group will ascend trails leading through gorgeous rain-forest until reaching the craters rim (around 4 hours). You will have the chance to swim in the cold water of the crater's lake after hiking Arenals´ big little brother.

After hiking down Cerro Chato you will visit the beautiful Arenal Observatory Lodge where you can visit their Rio Danta Waterfall and swim in it. This property is used to study the volcano so they also offer a museum filled with history of the volcano and an incredible observation deck. On this property you will also visit two hanging bridges and a frog pond.

After all the hiking, we finish the day in the relaxing hot springs in the natural river of Tabacon with a drink and a volcanic mud facial.
