Fundraiser / Recolecta de fondos

I will be running my second marathon on November 6th, 2016. It's not just any marathon, it is the New York City Marathon. I actually ran it in 2015, it was my first marathon. It was a special one, but this second time around I want to make it even more special. Although a little late, I have decided to start fundraising for a special cause. Near my hometown, there is a local shelter called Venecia Mundo Huellitas, it is run by Adriana Angulo and her family with the help of local volunteers. She dedicates time, effort, and financial resources to help currently over 15 abandoned, abused and neglected dogs. Their mission it's to find a home for these dogs, but in the process of finding one, food and veterinary care are needed. The current goal is to raise $2000 US dollars that will help with food, veterinary bills and to build a proper fence in their property.

Este año voy a correr mi segunda maratón. Es un evento mágico, pero difícil de lograr. Va a ser la segunda vez que voy a correr una maratón y es la famosa maratón de Nueva York. Este año quiero que sea aún más especial y por eso, aunque un poco tarde, decidí empezar una recolecta de fondos para ayudar a Venecia Mundo Huellitas. Es un hogar de paso para perritos abandonados y maltratados en Venecia de San Carlos. Adriana Angulo y su familia, cona la ayuda de voluntarios se encargan de buscarles un hogar a estos perritos, pero mientras se les encuentra un hogar, se incurren en gastos veterinarios, medicinas, transporte y comida. La meta es recolectar $2000 dólares para poder ayudar con facturas pendientes del veterinario, medicinas, comida y para construir un encierro apropiado para los más de 15 perros que actualmente están buscando un hogar.
